The hotel interior is beautiful and always smelt nice. Public facilities were always clean. The staff were very nice and super helpful ( I had a situation where I need something from the pharmacy and they wrote me a note to give to the pharmacist, which I really appreciated). I loved the decor of the room. The shower was really nice with large amenities that smelt nice (Body wash, conditioner and shampoo. Toothbrush and mini toothpaste were provided in the room. The room had a hanging area for clothes. Toilet was heated every morning haha, I felt like a queen lol. The hotel is situated right across from Nijo Station, which houses your usual 7 Eleven, KFC and local restaurants. Had an amazing Salmon sandwich from ‘Kyoto Sizuya’ - Twice haha. There are a lot of restaurants close by. Try Sanjo-Kai market for tasty food. Nijo castle is close by (15 mins walk) as well as other landmarks by public transport. All in all I would stay here again, as it was easy getting around, the staff were friendly, the room was big (for Japan) and I could easily connect to Netflix haha. Also the Wi-Fi was good. Thank you Park Royal for a lovely stay! I’ll definitely stay here again if I return to Kyoto!

The location of this hotel was really convenient - right by Nijo station, which is a few stops away from Kyoto Station where the Shinkansen arrives into. The local area was easy to navigate on the Metro and everything was within good distance to the hotel. The staff were wonderful - so helpful and welcoming, the lobby area was a nice place to hang out and the breakfasts were great! The bed was extra large and so comfortable so it made for a really good night's sleep! We used the laundry service on the fifth floor which was easy to use and the tv had a tracking display so you could check how many machines were free and how long they had left - very helpful! The self serve coffee machine and water/soda in the lobby was a really nice touch - thank you for a wonderful stay!

1)I was here Best part its just opposite Metro station, when you come & get down at Kyoto ( Do not take Bus or any Taxi just take metro from kyoto to Nijo metro Station I think its just one stop away) I took Bus :( 2) There non alcoholic drinks Coffee machine, ice machine , water bottle which you can take from the Reception itself whenever you come down from your Room all Free 3) One once there was a staff with specs whi told us we already gave you 2 -3 water bottles & can't give more that was rude 4) Morning Breakfast is Great 5) Just at the station you will get 7/11 convenience store , there some good entry like dinner options just close the Hotel.

Well situated being just outside the station, made it perfect for getting back to. The Nijo station is also a JR station so if you have a JR pass your travel from Kyoto station to here will be included. Lovely hotel, felt very relaxed and comfortable. The bed was massive and very comfortable, slept very well. Spacious room and bathroom. Breakfast was good coffee machines and accompaniments were great. It was lovely to be able to take out an iced coffee with us when we left for the day, for those with a sweet tooth like myself they had a good mocha as an option as well as coffee syrups available rather than just your standard sugar and milk.

Loved the atmosphere, the amenities, the matcha and coffee, the breakfast was good despite few options, it was clean, and the staff was nice and spoke some English. It was across from the JR station so easy to commute, and 7/11 and family mart were both down the street. The Lion bakery around the corner was amazinggg and there’s a market only 5 mins walk away.
